Dear Colleagues,
Çevre College once again opens its door to 17th ANNUAL ÇEVRE ELT CONFERENCE on 25th February 2023 to Transformations in ELT.
The world has embraced an unprecedented phase leading teachers to discover new approaches, skills, and strategies. This transformation, despite difficulties and limitation, has paved the way for a change in the existing education system and spurred our ability to shift to an alternative education mode. In other words, the educational scenario has changed unpredictably We have been ‘renovated’ to adapt an ever-changing society. To remain and adapt to the crisis, there are new things that take place in the world of educational trends. While some global trends keep their value, some are new trends and future trends. The pandemic also made it crystal clear that nothing can substitute school so are we- teachers ready to transform by embarking on the new beginnings to help our students thrive in our changing world? Then take the following into consideration:
How can teachers …
-
approach to the transformed students?
-
instil values into education?
-
cultivate mutual respect, intercultural awareness and embed common educational perspectives?
-
create awareness to global citizenship?
-
promote active participation and interpersonal skills including emotional intelligence, empathy, cooperation and social awareness?
-
develop critical thinking, problem -solving and analytical thinking through innovative teaching?
-
enrich communication skills?
-
support inclusion?
-
motivate, guide and effectively assess?
-
boost skills in using digital resources and media literacy?
So let’s sharpen our horizon to learn and adapt more resilient education systems that deliver quality to our altering world in ELT.
